Bwahahahahahah.......Rand Paul already disappointing libertarians
from Salon

But he's not just moving toward the establishment Republican line on foreign policy. He actually seems to have already abandoned one of the core libertarian tenets of his campaign.

Veronique de Rugy, of the libertarian Mercatus Center, Reason magazine and the National Review, reads a piece contrasting Paul with pork-lovin' wasteful spender Roy Blunt. And guess who has learned to love earmarks?

In a bigger shift from his campaign pledge to end earmarks, he tells me that they are a bad "symbol" of easy spending but that he will fight for Kentucky's share of earmarks and federal pork, as long as it's doled out transparently at the committee level and not parachuted in in the dead of night. "I will advocate for Kentucky's interests," he says.

/snip

Waiting for the other "libertarians" to show their true colors.

NC dumbassery elected Sue Myrick years ago; on the term limits platform. Guess what? The stupid bleep is still in office.

Hard lessons will be learned very soon.

1. rand Paul is NO Libertarian..he is way too judgemental on "Moral" issues.
abortion,gay marriage.
it embarrasses true Libertarians, who see themselves as open-minded,albeit free market greed-meisters.

5. George Nethercutt R-WA defeated Tom Foley partly by pledging
to only serve three terms. He ended up serving five.

7. Based on Myrick's continued re-election, they're not capable of learning
What was it Einstein said about repeating the same actions over and over again, and expecting the outcome to change?

12. Every moran in Kentucky that who believes eating shit sandwiches is good for you.
Paul will either toe the Republican line, or he will get marginalized by the party power brokers.

If he does cave, his idjit teabagger supporters will go berserk as he molts his libertarian skin and becomes just another politician that lied to them.

9. There were exactly TWO Republican libertarians: Ron Paul & Bob Barr (& Barr campaigned for Feingold)
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 10:45 AM by Faryn Balyncd

Rand Paul, on the other hand, will turn out to be about as "libertarian" as Dick Cheney.

:kick:

11. Freepers rationalize this
note: the "Obamamedia/Islamamedia" this Freeper and others are referring to is the National Review, which is cited in this Freeper thread's OP:

(...)

Yep, the Obamamedia/Islamamedia can’t wait to create the perception that the Tea party has already been sold out, and the new congressional leaders haven’t signed their first bill yet!
