6. Where's the "none of the above" or "other" choice?
Neither one are worth the position, unless the name has been changed to "House Whipped".

9. Rep. Anthony Weiner, for one...
...if Rep. Alan Greyson were going to be around, him. I want a whip that can count, bust skulls, and then count again. Neither of the candidates, especially Clyburn, seem to have the stones/ovaries to do this.

11. I started to recommend Weiner, but then wondered if he was up for election
this time around and if he was still in or out -- ???

Yes -- I'd take Weiner --

and will take your word on Clyburn!

12. what you said....
"I want a whip that can count, bust skulls, and then count again."
That sounds like a job that Anthony would be pretty damn good at, actually.

10. Clyburn vs. Hoyer
Edited on Wed Nov-10-10 03:00 AM by Tx4obama
Democratic Whip

2003-2007 Steny Hoyer
2007–2009 Jim Clyburn
2009-present Jim Clyburn

not much change no matter who is picked.

13. Clyburn. Hoyer is DLC. By the way the house did its job passing over 200 pieces of
legislation only to see it languish in Harry Reid's senate. It's Reid who should be replaced.
