Can't there be some kind of compromise between Hoyer & Clyburn? |
|
Give Clyburn the whip position and give assurance that when the Democrats take back the House in 2012 that Clyburn will keep his role, Hoyer can run for Majority Leader, and Pelosi will take back the gavel.
It is too soon and too awful of an election for our House for this infighting.

1. I agree about the infighting, but don't think such compromise would work. |
|
Hoyer wants something now.

2. Yes. They can both give up seeking the whip position... |
|
and to have lunch at the IHOP or something. They're both too compromised and too compromising to the R's to do the necessary "count/bust skulls/count some more" work of a whip.
Alan Grayson, why couldn't you have made it!!??

3. You prefer backroom compromise and dealmaking to a democratic vote? |
