New help for Joe Miller campaign - AK

"Floyd Brown, the man responsible for the "Willie Horton" television ad that helped derail the Michael Dukakis presidential campaign in 1988, has signed up for the Joe Miller campaign.

Brown is here in Juneau today for the write-in ballot review and he has called a 3:30 p.m. press conference to discuss "the direction of the Miller campaign heading into the weekend." Brown is being described by the campaign as "advisor to Joe Miller."

He created a a 1-900 line in 1992 so callers could hear edited excerpts of telephone conversations between Bill Clinton and Arkansas lounge singer Gennifer Flowers. He's also founder of Citizens United, whose Supreme Court case led to the allowance of unlimited donations from corporations and unions to certain types of political committees.

Brown now runs the ImpeachObamaCampaign.com Web site."

Meanwhile, Lisa Murkowsi continues to dominate the write-in vote count, and Joe Miller continues to be an asshole.

1. Like a turd in the punch bowl, Floyd floats to the surface again
Come a long way since I knew this jackass back in college. He'll pick up a nice little check, burnish his cred with the motherfuckers he curries favor with, accomplish nothing, and head back to his next project.

4. It was many years ago, but the outlines were pretty clear
He was a year or two behind me, had transferred in after leaving West Point (the circumstances weren't entirely clear). It was a very small school, and there were limited circles in which to move, so we bumped up against each other in a couple of spheres. He had a very conservative worldview, but it wasn't all that unusual for many there. It was unusual, though, to find out that less than a decade later, he was instrumental in the Willie Horton lies, and had a small potatoes radio program (though he dabbled in the campus radio station).

I don't know if he actually got his degree or not - his name doesn't surface in the alumni newsletter - but some of his odiousness was apparent even 30 years ago.

3. What can he do? He can't change the outcome - never mind.

Lisa is pretty much an asshole as well. IMO it really doesn't matter which one wins, they are both right wing fanatics.. Lisa tries to sound moderate but her actions and her campaign ads speak volumes.
