What about the OBAMA tax cuts?
In the tax cut debate, I hear the term "Bush tax cuts" bandied about - because those are set to expire. But even if the Bush tax cuts expire, we'll still have the Obama tax cuts, yes?

2. They were part of the stimulus IIRC, so they're not permanent.
Don't remember how far out they go.

4. Ah, I might have to do some digging to find their duration.

3. A crucial January 2010 CBO paper estimated the maximum "bang for the buck" from employee-side
payroll tax cuts at only 90 cents per dollar of GDP without the policy, and the maximum employment effect as only 7 jobs per $million spent on the policy.

Compared to $1.30 "bang for the buck" and 16 jobs per $million for employER-side payroll tax cuts on payroll increases only, this was pitiful. So IMO extension of the "largest middle-class tax cut in history" died quietly. If there are going to be payroll tax cuts, they will be on the employER side, not on the employEE side.

See page 26 of the PDF downloadable at http://www.cbo.gov/doc.cfm?index=10803 :
