Should we send the Dems on the Hill to bed without supper?
I remember watching some TV show where a kidnap victim is threatened with starvation unless she talks about where she hid some money or information that the kidnappers wanted. The head kidnapper muttered, "Hunger - a good little spirit-breaker." And how many parents sent their misbehaving kids to bed without supper, hoping that a little growling in the tummy area would remind the little troublemakers to straighten up and fly right?

Maybe it's time for we, the Democrats, to starve national Democratic organizations such as the DCCC, the DSCC, and possibly even the DNC until our demands concerning the illegal occupation of Iraq are finally given the attention and respect they are due.

Not a single red cent to any Democrat who dares to betray us on Iraq. And I hate to do this to Howard Dean, but he finds himself in a most unenviable position, surrounded by cowards and slaves.

1. Not much for collective punishment.
Especially when some of the money we'd be cutting off would go to dem challengers in repub districts. But we shouldn't forget this next time these folks are up for reelection.

2. "Five points from Gryffindor..."
I dunno. I think collective punishment might be just the thing to make the "good" Democrats put some serious pressure on the turncoats.

3. Do they make a Woosie Cap? Are there enough corners?
No one gets my money until I see representation, but I was already doing that. What the fuck do we do now?

4. With all due respect to Gandhi...
The old idealism: "First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win."

The new reality: First they ignore you, then you humiliate them, then they fight you, and Devil take the hindmost.
