I want all Health Insurance companies to be non-profit and tightly regulated
Edited on Thu Nov-18-10 10:23 AM by Klukie
If we can't have the single payer option then we need to take away the ability of these companies to trade my health on wall street. I am not Capital.

Yeah I know...it will never happen...but I just wish our nation would demand better for ourselves.

1. The term"non profit" is misleading. Much of blue cross blue shield
is under the umbrella of "non profit". It makes me sick.

Non-profit Blue Cross and Blue Shield health plans stockpiled billions of dollars during the past decade, yet continued to hit consumers with double-digit premium increases, Consumers Union found in an analysis of 10 of the plans' finances.

5. Thanks you. BCBS and it's employees can burn in Hell for all eternity.
And that should tell you something right there.

4. Medicare is supposed to be non profit also, yet
Edited on Thu Nov-18-10 11:07 AM by Lint Head
Medicare is not run by the government. It is run by BCBS, Cigna, Atena, Plametto and all of the other big insurance companies. The federal government under HHS and CMS simply administer and audit those companies. There is a profit or payoff there or these major corporations would not spend millions bidding for Medicare contracts. Medicare for all would benefit these companies and the people. Why is this argument not being made?
