Sexist Spin on "THE VIEW" melee...
I was flipping through the channels yesterday and on "Hardball" Tweety was discussing the Rosie/Twit incident and one of his guest commentators (some repuke lady) said:

"I think what's fascinating is that, here we have a woman's show and they are discussing the war"

and Tweety and the other two men on the panel agreed.

So because it is a woman's show they are only supposed to discuss lip gloss and waxy yellow build-up? Women aren't capable of examining political issues? :grr: :nuke:

1. "Waxy yellow build-up"
Now that's a blast from the past.

As for Tweety, turn him off. He's a complete joke. He still lives in the 60's & 70's.

4. Nope, women shows are supposed to be talking about house care, feeding the babies bottle or breast
which is best and how to please the lord of the house hold. Then theres always the topic, which do men prefer bikini wax on the bikini line or just wax the whole thing and be done with it. Those are good republican women talk. Women should not be talking about important things like war or how governments run, thats why we put women like Goodling in important positions, when we get caught breaking laws they can play dumb blonde without anyone questioning them to much and we walk free.

5. Why no! It taxes their pretty, empty heads and
puts those nasty little frown lines on their faces. They're so CUTE when they're trying to be serious, but we know they never manage to get the point <nudge, nudge, wink, wink>.

Old attitudes die hard, and the stupider they are, the more they prevail.

I might watch that show if they ever got a moderator to make sure when one was speaking, the others would SHUT UP for a minute. Hasselbigot seems to be the worst at never SHUTTING UP, but they're all offenders. It's the only way they can get a word in with Hasselbigot's verbal diarrhea.

6. Women are not allowed to have their own thought
hasselback basically eluded to that in the exchange with Rosie. She was jumping all over her because she was expressing "her" thoughts and made a big deal out of the fact that they were her thoughts.

That has always been the republicons point of view, women are second class. Which is one more reason I would have never been a good republicon.

8. Oh No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Women discussing political things with (gasp) OTHER WOMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tweety and his cronies have their "panels" with maybe one woman up there who is usually sitting around looking frustrated while the men spout horsecrap...

The View is a panel of women who discuss the war.

What gets me is how much it frightens these male talking heads. I'm pretty fed up with the Rosie name-calling. One of them ought to have the balls to ask her and Joy to visit HIS program.

Oh wait I forgot: women who aren't skinny, young and vacuous are not allowed on television news programs unless it's on a panel where they won't get a word in edgewise.

Bunch of mysognistic assholes.

Except Keith of course!!!!

9. Soon No One Will Even be Able to Remember the Content of the Discussion...
I do not watch that show and so was unaware of the discussion, so when they played a few clips from it, I was actually really impressed with the discussion between Rosie O'Donnell, who I usually don't like, and the other one. I thought it was an intelligent, honest debate about an issue with real substance, just the way real people talk in the real world, with real live human emotion and everything, and it was riveting to listen to. People might not remember, but you used to hear important debates like that on TV every now and then; it was not considered "an embarrassment to the sponsors," but an actual public-forum. I was impressed with the high level and composure of O'Donnell. Then the media started "characterizing"...

Even on the (as always) all-male "Countdown," there was some of this laughing/smirky crap, not nearly as bad as the Republican dick-suck Matthews, but still the same attitude of total discomfort at an expression of emotion. If women are angry and expressing themselves about it, you can be sure some prick is just about to pop up and nag about it--laughing at the "spectacle" of " 'bitches' 'cat-fighting,' " which they then, of course, exploit, cool and TV-emotionless... Didn't catch them having an emotion that can be laughed at...

And I guess mothers have no stake in war and peace?
