REPORT: Fox donates at least $40 million in airtime to potential GOP presidential candidates
http://mediamatters.org/research/201011180031?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

Between January 1 and October 31 of this year, five potential Republican presidential candidates -- Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, John Bolton, and Rick Santorum -- who also serve as Fox News contributors or hosts have appeared on the network for a combined total of nearly 66 hours. Media Matters for America estimates this time to be worth at least $40 million in advertising costs.

Donations "in kind" & Joe Scarborough et al

How much does MSNBC charge for political ads? Let's say for a DAILY 3- HOUR ad?

Joey (dead-aide) Scarborough "plumps" up all things right, hour after hour, has xenophobic, racist, anti-semitic Pat Buchanan as his daily wing-man, and it's ok? The hypocrisy is monumental. I recall Mike Barnicle being the voice of reason, a while back when they were "discussing" complaints of plagiarizing by some democratic candidate.

A few small (as opposed to the MILLIONS given blatantly by Fox) donations could NEVER EVER match the 3 hr lovefest for righties .

3. The money in these elections is outrageous and has nothing to do with the
most qualified for the good of the entire country rising to the top.

5. Ah, but none of them have filed the paperwork to run yet
So, while they're sucking up their sinecures and polishing their television presence, they're free and clear of any conflicts or reporting requirements.

You know, I don't think the FCC ever contemplated such a nakedly partisan broadcast network. It's time they started addressing this unprecedented situation.
