"Cancer surviving flight attendant told to remove prosthetic breast during pat-down"
http://www.wbtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=13534628

A T.S.A. representative says agents aren't supposed to remove any prosthetics, but are allowed to ask to see and touch any passenger's prosthetic.

T.S.A. says it will review this matter.

3. TSA is also asking passengers to tell them of any augmentation or implants on everyone.
Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 10:48 AM by flyarm
So All women who have had breast cancer and gotten implants must now tell a TSA agent infront of everyone around them in the security lines!

Infact any women with breast augmentation must now tell TSA agents that they have implants.

What ever happened to doctor / patient privacy????????

19. Bingo!! What about our Fourth Amendment constitutional rights?
So much for the patient privacy act too.

Fourth Amendment - Search and Seizure
http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/data/constitution/amendment04/

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

23. Ah, but the world has become unreasonable.
And the unreasonable will feel safer for having given up these rights, and trusting in big brother for protection.

And we have become terrorized by our own government, after all.

5. My son is a right leg amputee and is required to
removed his prosthetic leg every time he flys. It pisses him off because he has to pull his pants down in order to get the leg off.

I can understand it but, it's still embarrassing and time consuming for him.

15. I will, thank you! He's going to be one pissed off dude.
Hope when he refuses to take it off when he travels in December they don't arrest him. The young guy 'don't touch my junk', chose to leave the airport than be subjected to the pat down and was told he'd be fined something like 11k ??? wtf. I saw him on a show with comedian Penn.

I miss a lot of things but, I miss my mind the most. :(

45. Protest forced xrays, aka "CastScope"
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/aviation/safety/the-problem-with-prosthetics-and-airport-security

The Problem With Prosthetics and Airport Security

Swabs are taken immediately in and around all prosthetics to detect for bomb-making material. The next step is to go under the CastScope. Once the operator is found, you go under the machine, prosthetic limbs still on. They take X-ray images on the front, back and sides—about 10 X-rays per below-the-knee prosthetic, more if your prosthesis has a mechanical knee. After these X-rays pass inspection, you're free to fly.

For Jeffrey J. Cain, a below-the-knee double amputee, "There's such variability in screening people with prosthetics," Cain says. Sometimes an amputee gets a pat-down after the backscatter scan (which isn't required); sometimes he or she is asked to remove a limb; and always, Cain says, there is confusion: "It's like being pulled over by the policeman—there's only one correct answer, and it's not that of the police department; it's that of the person in front of you."

11. Where has common sense gone in this country????????? pfffftttt

To pat down or put Pilots through this security is absurd, as is any flight crew!!!!!!!

pssssssssssssssstttttttttt...

who is flying the damn plane?????? who has control over the plane?????????

who knows the intricacies of the plane in the cabin????????????

Is there one freaking person who does not realize those in control of the plane do not have to carry a fucking thing on that plane to cause damage or an accident???????

Are we that much of sheeple and that ignorant we can no longer use logic and common sense??????????

shaking head here,.wondering how dumbed down we have become.

From a now retired 33 yr flight crew member.

I saw a news bit regarding the difference between airport safety as it's handled in Israel and the US. We should take a cue from Israel.

But, noooo USA #1 We do it OUR WAY.

21. I'm waiting for the first woman who,
upon being questioned about her sanitary napkin, reaches into her panties, removes the pad, and hands it to the TSA agent.

Of course, that person will then be hauled off, incarcerated for an hour or two, and then banned from flying . . .

29. The TSA is a debacle. They are paying for what they get
which is the cheapest and not so bright labor. There is no common sense in these rules. The Israelies do not do this and I am tired of the excuse well Israel doesn't have as many airports. The Israelies inspect the cars and the passengers before they even get to the airport....sorry this is an inconvenience I wouldn't have a problem with.

Ridiculous, the airline industry will suffer financially for this.

Edited on Fri Nov-19-10 01:03 PM by flyarm
I just took a couple on tours of Germany and Prague I told the folks..to watch at the airport , and see what sheeple Americans have become..I said Americans without any orders or direction to do so .. will automatically take their shoes off ...and no Eurpoean will..at the Airport security.

The couple I toured were so taken with what I told them and what they saw.

And after touring the Nazi regime and Museums , they were taken aback of how far we Americans have been conditioned as sheeple, and propagandized and paralyzed by False fear.

Since I make my own prosthetic breasts with birdseed, I'll be happy to whip them out in public. I'm beyond being embarrassed about it, but would love the opportunity to make a scene. Should make for some lively dinner talk.

Now what about penile implants?

38. When do we get ushered to the Cattle trains?
I was just in East Berlin and was at Berlin's Topography of Terror Museum.

Every American should have to see it and read all about the rise of the Reich at Berlin's Topography of Terror museum..they would not so easily accept what is going on in our nation then!

The common Theme in the early days of the Reich and the build up to the Reich was the breaking of the RULE OF LAW, and the rights of the people.

Fear was the most paralyzing factor.

When you deminish one "RIGHT" you deminish them all!

Some group of individuals need to sue TSA over these constitutional breaches in our rights.
