I love your idea though! :yourock:

28. That will probably land you in jail.
I bet it would. They'd find some damn way to call it assault and lock your ass up.

4. My heart goes out to some of those TSA employees. We've all had a job we hated,
but can you IMAGINE? I have to WHAT?

Some probably love being able to show what important people they are by demeaning others, but I'm guessing the majority of them are whispering "oh please go through the scanner..."

6. Seriously. That's the other side of this, isn't it?
A job where you have to get on your knees and grope 'the junk' of strangers who hate you.

Not healthy for anyone, or society as a whole.

7. People will take their hate, embarrassment, anger on on them, and that's gotta
shred their self esteem in addition to having it shredded by having to do what they do.

9. That goes both ways too. They'll take their low self esteem out on travelers.
How it nearly *always* goes with people in positions of petty authority.

15. But times are such now that people are taking ANY job they can to provide
for their families, and a government job would seem like a score! Historically I'd agree with you, but I think those stereotypes don't apply as much any more.

As I said, I'm sure some of them LOVE pretending like they have real power, but not all.

The only interactions I've had with TSA personnel (and I was asked to empty my bag and purse) were very, I won't say pleasant, but the people were very nice and respectful As was I.

16. Sincerely, LisaL, I hope you never have to take such a job, then because you'll
undoubtedly encounter people like you who have no sympathy for the god-awful job you're doing to get a paycheck. Judge them individually, not as a whole.

8. Yeah, it is not the workers' fault. It's the policy makers fault. They'll get the brunt, though.

19. It would probably be difficult to quit a government job with benefits in this
economic climate.

I know of many people who are stuck in jobs they can't stand because they're afraid of the alternatives. Don't you?

13. oh that's not bad. me personally i say just have everyone come
to the airport naked and you can get dressed after they've checked everything. the lines would move a lot faster and probably a lot more people would travel by plane.

Seriously, there is a HUGE difference between choosing to go to a nude beach and being stripped naked and treated like a criminal.

Surely you are smart enough to realize that difference.
