1. Well, it used to be that if you were accompaning a minor or a disabled person to a
flight, you could go through to the plane and then return. I don't know if you can still do this or not.

3. I did that once, last year
accompanying my deaf wife and my infant son on their solo trip to New York.

Got through TSA fine, and made it all the way to my wifes seat. Once they were settled, I walked back to my car and drove home.

2. If you're that eager for a cheap feel, sure
because they don't check your boarding pass until you get to the gate.

Back before things got crazy, I'd go through the screening from time to time to meet friends coming into town so I could see them a minute earlier.

6. They usually check it when you get to the end of the security line before the machines.
At least in my experience.

19. I guess it varies airport to airport
and I did mention that this was before things went completely nuts.

No one checked my paperwork here four years ago until I got to the gate, although they did deprive me of my shoes and make me take the laptop out of the overstuffed backpack.

I guess they thought the gun toting National Guard guys patrolling the airport were intimidating enough.

20. The M-16 days were pretty nuts.
I know things are dangerous, but it's not like I'm flying out of Tel Aviv International.

21. Our airport shares a strip with the USAF
so it's always been set on "paranoid." They do let me take my knitting needles. Other airports consider old ladies with knitting to be prime terror suspects.

23. Yes they do, out of every airport, at the entrance to checkpoint
You haven't flown since 911, have you? You are describing the system on 910

I know a few people that would probably agree to feel you up for a few bucks, if that's what you're after.

9. Aren't you worried...
they'll be suspicious if they see you go through security 23 times in the same day?

10. Well, they wouldn't have to worry...
It certainly wouldn't be a dry run. :spank: I'm going to hell for that one, which doesn't matter, because I don't believe in hell. :P

16. You have to have a boarding pass to go through security, but nobody can force you to get on a plane
Unless you are in custody of law enforcement.

17. Yes - it's called a gate pass

But you have to have some sort of reason.

For example, some airlines rent conference rooms adjoining their lounges for business meetings. If you are an attendee at the meeting, and not flying in to the airport, they will issue you a gate pass.

Gate passes are also given to parents accompanying minors, depending on the airline's unaccompanied minors policy.
