12. Our pit bull went after a chicken's butt once

At blessing of the animals, right after the Cardinal blessed him (he was not impressed), our pit-mix lunged after someone's pet chicken. My wife screamed and he dropped the bird. The bird was apparently not injured, but we took pictures of the bird's posterior in the event of future litigation by the bird's owner.

The cloaca was of course unharmed (unlike your turkey), and after a few tense minutes, the bird went about its business as though nothing had happened
