5. One thing I see on there is not true

They say that if you grow the plants hydroponically that you can't grow anything with nutritional value and are limited to things like basil.

Not true!!! I realize my friends' site sells a lot of things (and courses), etc, but you only have to look at the photos and see the list of things they've grown in water to know that what is said on the growing power site on that subject isn't true.

The site says you can only grow crops with such a system that have lower nutritional requirements, not lower nutritional values.

3. Take a look here, too

Some online friends of mine have built this up beyond feeding their own family AND turning it into a business, they want to teach what they've learned and offer seminars and tutorial guides and videos on how to build and manage an aquaponics farm ... from a small indoor unit (suitable for the classroom) up to commercial size. (They built their own house themselves, too.) :)

9. This should be getting as much attention as solar panels and electric cars

Local food production - community farms and backyard gardens, is where the future lies. This could be done anywhere from a single back yard to the top of a skyscraper.

especially those sitting, abandoned. It's sheer madness.

The building renovation and retrofitting could be a huge industry and job creator, imho.
