A big Thank You to Russ Feingold and to Alan Grayson. |
|
Edited on Thu Nov-25-10 04:08 PM by truedelphi
Thanks for every thing that you two did to offer hope to some of us who lately have felt like giving up.
May your holiday be joyous, and your ambition, tempered with clarity, be great.
And hope to see you both around a lot during the Season of summer and fall 2012.
(I keep thinking "In politics, things can change quickly. JFK was not even a glimmer in the eye of the most progressive Democrats back in 1958.")

I've visited them and passed on the links.
You're welcome for the kick. I love truth tellers. Kucinich, Dean, Feingold, Sanders, -- Grayson is just the newest on my list.

4. As far as Grayson and Feingold, I believe |
|
As your sig line states, "Yes we can."
Have gotten really tired of Oval Office sig line of "Let me contact my Corporate sponsors first."

22. I hope they continue to serve America |
|
in other capacities. After Bill Maher was fired for telling the truth, he became even more popular. May it be so for Alan Grayson and Russ Feingold. They are voices in the wilderness for truth and honesty.

Bravo to the only two Democrats I contributed to in this past election. They both served people and principle with honor and dignity.
It is a tragedy that America is losing the service in office of these two courageous public servants.

At least Lynn Woosley, of California, (also a true Dem), kept hers.

13. I am sure Grayson will be back. I hope he runs for the Senate, |
|
but maybe in another not-so-Repubican state.
Feingold is a gem, we need him too. How about the WH for him? He was so right about so many things, I am very sad about what happened. But many politicians have lost races in the past, only to come back stronger later on.
:kick: and rec's for two great Democrats.

Those two elections hurt extra bad and will come back to haunt all Americans in the future, the way Ned Lamont losing to LIEberman has haunted us ever since 2006.

Despite the Big Corporate Media pushing the continual meme of how the Dems lost becuase they are too "socialist," most thinking Democrats know what really happened.
For instance, take Kamela Harris' race for Attorney General in Califonia.
Not only did she have to run against her own sorry record of letting some very shitty lab work hamper efforts to fight crime in San Francisco, she also foolishly went on the record against Prop Nienteen. She issued this prominent statement about how bad the wording was on this effort for legalizing marijuana, and had it printed in the Official Booklet on the Nov election.
And she didn't bother to state that she would work to see the law changed, by intending to work on a differently worded proposition in the near future.
So voters opted out of voting for either Big Party candidate, resulting in at least nine percent of all votes going to third party people.
So that race ended up being a squeaker between her and Steve Cooley Republican.

They're both young enough and smart enough - they'll be back. Personally, I'd like to see Russ Feingold on the Supreme Court, then we could have him for years. Alan Grayson can do anything he wants.
