Forgive me for taking an opportunity to brag here.
My comic strip, "The New Adventures Of Queen Victoria" started syndication through GoComics.com, the online division of Universal Press Syndicate, on Monday, and I've managed to wrangle two writeups so far.
First was a brief, but notable, mention in "Editor and Publisher," the main journal of the newspaper industry, which can be seen
here.
The second, and one I like better, was from the
Rockford Register Star in Rockford, IL, which called TNAOQV "funny from one strip to the next" and described it thus:
With an entirely different kind of wit and a cast of oddball familial characters, TNAoQV introduces this anachronistic lady (born in 1819, died in 1901) to the modern world’s pop culture. With son Edward, best friend Liz and new friend Mary in tow, she bravely fights against impropriety, the French and any number of bizarre situations with typically catastrophic outcomes.
I know support and comments from DU'ers helped with the decision by GoComics to pick me up, and I wanted to thank you all again.
