Chimp will treat Patraeus' Sept. report like the Baker-Hamilton report |
|
Edited on Fri May-25-07 11:31 AM by npincus
That is, ignore all findings that suggest it is time to go. No matter what Patraeus'report has to say, Chimp will cherry-pick and interpret it as a mandate to stay in Iraq.
The dumbass Dems really think that the September deadline means anything to the idiot who has ignored all experts in his own administration and outside it, canned the generals who opposed him, ignored the reality on the ground, and the ignored the will of a majority of Americans? Chimp has contempt for everyone who doesn't agree with him, and Dems damn well know this. If they ever were serious about ending the war they would have stood their ground on the time line. What the hell do they stand for, anyway?
The maniac has dumped day-to-day oversight of the war on his new "czar", and this September report is just another artificial deadline to ignore as his presidency limps to the finish line. The war goes on and one. Mission accomplished, unopposed.

4. Petraeus has already said that his report will be inconclusive |
|
Offering another sign that the administration plans to continue its escalation of the war in Iraq into 2008, U.S. commander Gen. David Petraeus now says that he will not have “anything definitive” to say about the war in his September review.
Which raises a few questions. How does he know that already, and if it's going to be inconclusive, why wait for it? And is the report going to be so vague that George W. Sparrowtarget can interpret it any way he wants? (Betting on that third one.)
