So we get an extension of tax cuts that we can ill afford
but the party of no tells us that they are fiscal conservatives...

Folks that is another sign of the end of Empire... and the Party of NO, with the help of this President, just helped accelerate the process.

History will not be kind.

Oh and in the final straw category... this is it for many folks I know.

Yep, will vote, but it really dont matter who is elected. The majority wants one thing... but the elites do another.

Will this wake you up? This is not about Republican vs Democrat, but us versus them. At least I grew up under that reality, so it is hardly a shocker for me. In fact, this is situation normal.

Oh and I wonder just how many young people will volunteer and vote in 2012? I am sure not as many as did in 2008....

Then again, the fall of empire is really near in historic terms... so who knows?

1. I often think it would be better just to drop all of the nukes,
and let the cockroaches evolve something new and hopefully better.

2. I doubt that will happen
but your and my standard of living IS GOING TO TAKE A DIVE once the fall of empire is official.

My time line has that as early as June of NEXT year...

(Debt ceiling extension... wait for that drama but the reality is that we have a very deep constitutional crisis in DC)

3. I felt sick to my stomach watching Obama announce yet another compromise on TV today!
He could have just as easily stood at that podium and said "The Republican Party is holding this country hostage in order to get tax breaks for rich people...but I won't stand for it! Tax break for rich people don't create jobs. How many jobs has Rush Limbaugh created with his personal tax breaks? How about John Boehner or Mitch McConnell? How many jobs have they created? It's time to drop the charade that low taxes on the rich mean more jobs for everyone else...it just ludicrous. I'll veto anything that extends tax breaks for the rich. The Republicans will block every piece of legislation they can and they'll even try to shut down the government in order to get what they want...more money for themselves and their buddies...but if you, the American people let them know with phone calls, emails, faxes and personal visits, that you won't stand for this...maybe together we can send them a message".
