I bet a lot of it!!!
The GOP knows that their million/billionaire buddies will thank them in 2012 by donating BILLIONS to the elections.
And the GOP knows that NONE of the money for the unemployed will go to any democratic candidate because they need the damn money to LIVE!
And the GOP also knows, by making this deal, that the democrats will not support Obama.
It is the "Perfect Storm" for the GOP!!

Then we ***CAN*** demand that that money going back into revenues be used to shore up SHARED RESOURCES > Un-Employment Benefits and Medicare are the 2 that will be up on the chopping block, which you describe above, first.
