RNC in debt - these assholes can't even run their own party without a deficit...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/02/rnc-debt-republican-national-committee_n_790904.html

< huffpo >
The RNC is reportedly facing more than $15 million in debt, a shortfall that will require it to delay payments for outside political services and almost certainly serve as a bad omen for Chairman Michael Steele, who is currently dealing with a number of prospective challengers for his position -- if he decides to seek another term. < / huffpo >

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/thefix/republican-party/rnc-official-admits-to-a-cashf.html

< Washington Post>
"We will not be able to pay off the vendors this week," wrote RNC Chief Administrative Officer Boyd Rutherford to Derek Flowers, a member of the RNC's political team, in an email obtained by the Fix. "We will be slow in paying as we are having a cashflow challenge. Everyone will be slow paid until after the first of the year." < Washington Post >

Apparently its not unusual for national parties to go into debt, but the Republicans may have as much as 15 million.

These guys are saying they want to "cut spending" and "reduce the defecit", but they can't even keep their own damn party solvent. Some of the quotes from those memo's make it sound like the RNC headquarters may not be able to keep their lights on.

1. Yet they've spun the 15 trillion dollar debt right into Obama's lap.
They are masters at doing that stuff.

6. The DNC is not as badly in debt as the RNC though...

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/45898.html

Apparently the DNC has 9.7 million in cash on hand and are making the repayments on time. The RNC only has 1.8 million on hand and can't repay all their creditors on time.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1210/45898.html

< politico >
Though the DNC ended with nearly as much debt, the committee stands in a stronger financial position than the RNC, as it carries $9.7 million in cash on hand going into the 2012 election cycle. < / politico >

And according to their own rhetoric, the RNC should be more thrifty than the DNC, given that they are the ones who are supposed to be "fiscally conservative".

Now about that donation. Not giving a dime to Tim Kaine and the neoliberals currently in charge of the party, let them get it from their richie-rich buddies they just saved from having to pay their fair share of the tax burden.
