Excuse me, but how exactly did the GOP compromise?
Where did they give in?
Because i don't see any ground given by them, only the Dems.

29. I'd be gloating too if I were in their shoes. Hell, open the champagne
they can celebrate now. They're passing things under Obama they couldn't get Bush to touch.

20. 33 Billion in exchange for 700 Billion in their own pockets. DEAL!!
kind of like repaying the Government for their no interest bank loans with stock that's worth 0.60 on the dollar.

4. I think the compromise was allegedly the unemployment insurance
extension -- but I think it's disgusting that the unemployed were used as hostages in this situation.

The republicans gave into...
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 05:25 PM by dennis4868
unemployment insurance for another 13 months, extending the earned income tax credit to benefit families, college tax credits, and a pay-roll tax cut.

Actually Obama is getting more money for his programs out of this deal than the repubs are....

32. Then let the tax cuts expire.
And blame the Republicans for not allow a vote on middleclass tax cuts.
It's not that hard!

33. Strangely enough, when it was Republicans trying to break filibusters, ...
...they seemed to believe that the rules *COULD* be changed
in mid-stream. It's only the Democrats who *CAN'T DO ANYTHING*,
even with more alleged votes than the Republicans *EVER* had.

12. Reminds me of an old Dennis the Menace cartoon.
Dennis was slurping up ice cream from a cone, as a little boy standing beside him cried.

"Dennis! Share that ice cream with that little boy!" admonished his mother.

"I am sharing," Dennis replied. "It's HIS ice cream!!"
