Lawrence O'Donnell is being extremely rude to his guests |
|
He is openly hostile to anyone who opposes the tax cut deal.

5. I know... I'm embarrassed for him |
|
I have no idea who's saying what because I'm cooking dinner and can't pay attention, but my goodness! His expression and his tone of voice are inexcusable. Given his snotty attitude and my huge admiration for Rep. Grayson, I'm inclined to think he's being an enormous douchebag.

16. He was trying to get Grayson to actually consider the consequence |
|
to the people who are in the lowest tax bracket. Now, Ezra Klein made a very good case for what happened to the business tax - it is designed to stimulate investment now.
This is not like Tweety filibustering over his guests. What he is doing is grilling the Congressmen, getting him to answer some tough questions.

He went on and on in a very angry tone, interrupting in a manner worse than anything I've seen on Fox. Dude has anger problems. Have you seen him when he loses it? Check youtube, then try to defend him.

No, the host needs to be more professional.. and O'Donnell needs to keep his own emotions in check. I could sense his disdain for "liberals/lefties" during that exchange.

= until his current job.
I was surprised that Grayson did not take a second to consider the impact on people who would be affected - there was no empathy there. He moved right into who was to blame - rather than considering if the cost in terms of his constituents' quality of life.

I usually don't watch 'The Last Word' ... and I probably won't for much longer.
Sheesh.
Laurence O'Donnell apparently thinks that his experience working on the Hill has made him the great, grand sage of how things 'really' work in Washington.
It is the O'Donnell arrogant attitude that got Democrats in such big trouble that they lost so much last month.
A rather unpleasant show.

34. So why hasn't Grayson (or anybody else) suggested reconciliation for the tax cuts? |
|
That's how they were passed the first time after all. Why not extend the middle class tax cuts for 10 years under reconciliation, and not extend the tax cuts for $250,000+ at all? This seems so obvious, yet nobody (even people like Grayson and Sanders) seems to have thought of it.

He was annoying, and I put the mute button on...so it didn't matter what he flipped out about. Overbearing flap jaws are a dime a dozen in Washington and the media. When he does this act, he becomes very common.

38. Why does being challenged bother you? |
|
Not you specifically, but the people who are perpetually outraged with Pres. Obama?
It seems you can yell and scream, but when someone really tries to challenge you and get you to defend your position--you can't.
I posted a simple question asking if people losing their unemployment benefits was OK, and people responded with such anger and bitterness. The behavior can only be described as a child throwing a temper tantrum.
Grayson deserved to be challenged on what his solution for the poor/unemployed would be had no deal been reached at all. That's the problem with ideologues. They're just not operating in the real world.

Look at the number of negative posts about this simple, 2 minute segment. Maybe you're missing something. I'm not shouting you down or preventing you from speaking, the way O'Donnell does. Do you really support O'Donnell's tactics? His behavior was like 'a child throwing a temper tantrum'. He lost it and couldn't stop interrupting.
