Prince Charles's Car Attacked by Angry Protesters

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles's car was surrounded by angry student protesters in London on Thursday.

Nearly two dozen demonstrators, angry at a huge tuition fee hike, kicked the prince's car on Regent Street, in the heart of London's shopping district. According to reports, the couple was unharmed but the protesters reportedly fought with police and smashed windows.

2. wow.. you'd think they would have tinted windows...
I'm surprised they are so visibly exposed, though I applaud that they are. (yes, I know they are behind bullet proof glass).

3. Contented protesters rarely attack vehicles
They usually limit themselves to giving the occupants a stern look, if that.

5. "Bloody peasants!"
Berke Breathed used to do great cartoons of Prince Charles in "Bloom County". I don't know why, but this reminded me of that.

7. It's apt. These people want to walk around in diamonds, dripping in furs
and then are displeased when the masses rise up in protest of being squeezed dry. People like Charles and Camilla are very expensive decorations.

8. For what they "pay" the royals in "allowances" and estate upkeep
Most students in the UK could go to school for free.

So yeah.. they "set" tuition.

12. I agree with this reasoning. Why should the royals keep getting a free ride

on the backs of Britians working families. They should sell of some of the crown jewels and use the money to do some actual good for their people like fund college educations. Maybe then I'd have some respect for Chuck.

13. All over the world, the proles, the peons, the working poor and
what's left of the middle class seem to be blustering up to a worldwide revolution of massive impact.

We have protesters pounding the ROYAL car over tuition hikes

We have hacker-kids spamming BIG CORPs because of its refusal to shine a light on the truth.

We have workers slamming BIG GOV/BIG CORP over increases in retirement age.

I don't see as much happening in the United States, sadly, but I think this tax bill with its cuts to Social Security, tax raises on the poor and give-aways to the wealthiest 2 percent have finally broken the DWTS choke hold of the American TV-zombie and we MIGHT begin to see some protestations here.
