O: Greasing the wheels with GOPers? |
|
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 06:04 PM by Hell Hath No Fury
With this tax cut extension I think what we are seeing is Obama's way of "greasing the wheels" with GOPers for next year and an illustration of his future plan. I think he has decided that he can mostly bypass the Dems and work primarily with the GOP for the next two years, and that they will aid him if he just gives them enough of what they want. Throw in some Blue Dog and DLC vote and the agenda he/the GOPers set is a go. Very much like Clinton did his second term.
He's a "pragmatist" -- results are all that matter with him. Not necessarily how good the results are or what Democratic values they may go against.
This is a taste to come of just what he is willing to do/sell out.
And we thought what had been sold out so far was bad. :(

1. A pragmatist who brokers a deal to bankrupt a nation is no pragmatist. |
|
That's not pragmatism, that's selling out a nation for a second term in office.

There's pragmatic and then there's O's actions -- they move beyond pragmatic to dangerous.
