H. Fineman just said on Tweety's show that both are going to jump in , in the fall and are looking for ways to help each other. Now that's interesting.

I think it's fascinating. And wouldn't it throw a wrench into everyone's plans? Maybe it would force all of them to get real.
As for Bloomberg, I love what he is planning in NYC, a million trees. And unbelievably, the city is rated high as far as the environment is concerned, we are on parity with Dublin, a very 'clean; city.

But the tree thing and where we stand as far as being green, is a point where his views and mine converge.

Gore might fall in love with Bloomberg's money. 'Twould shake things up a bit. I'm not sure Gore would need him, necessarily.

10. Needed badly. One of the many, many unfortunate results of the last |
|
six years is polarization (in every way but especially along party lines) and a crippling of public discourse. This would help repair a sick public debate. Smart...and wouldn't sit well with a lot of people.

11. Bloomberg to spend a billion to be VP on a 3rd party line? Don't think so. -but |
|
Gore jumping in to Dem race in October/November, using Bloomberg money because of a promised VP spot, does sound plausible.
But the anyone but Hillary crowd have been using Gore will jump in to prevent Gore supporters from declaring for Hillary and thereby hurting the Edwards/Obama camps. I think that this rumor is more likely from those camps for that same purpose.
That said, I am not sure Gore has the National following he had in 2000 and may be weaker in the General - but in the primaries he has the heart of much of the base.

In this instance. Because of the bit about corporations. I read that Silicon Valley is saying, 'We're waiting for Gore". Also, a friend told me that a friend of hers sits on the board of a large company and they had a discussion on who they thought would be the ultimate dem candidate and the consensus was Gore.
