Seriously, I have noticed that anyone from NYC will always tell you at the very beginning of almost any conversation. Not sure why that is, but maybe the response to it is a partial explanation.

But I never noticed the other half of this, that other people go out of their way to listen. Almost kind of a 2-way pavlovian response/reaction.

I recently relocated to Chapel NC, and there is a TON of transplants from NYC here. When I recently took a Real Estate Broker class, about 30% of the students were from NY. This is where I noticed this in all the hallway/break conversations.

I'll have to watch for the the "EF Hutton" response.
