Fly your flag at half staff until noon tomorrow. |

That is what you're supposed to do on Memorial Day. Out of respect for our war dead. The recent dead didn't know that their lives were going to be wasted. Were they innocent, ignorant or compliant of this unjust war? I don't know.
After noon I may fly mine upside down as a sign of distress.

2. Well, since my flag doesn't hang from a pole.... |
|
But instead from some nails hammered into the wood railing on my upstairs deck...
There's only one way for me to hang it.......the traditional...
From the end.

3. I don't own a flag. I never have. I never will. |
|
My parents don't own a flag. My grand parents never owned a flag.
America is in my heart, not my front yard.

4. I lowered mine this evening and it was very tempting to not fly it 'upside-down'... |
|
But out of respect for the countless many lost in past and present wars, I did not.
Another time, perhaps...but not today.
