He just takes no crap and cuts straight to the heart of things - "give me one specific example", etc.

8. Joe connects the dots so well |
|
On Afghanistan, Joe gets the relations with neighbors, the narcotics trade, the U.S. military, knows the leaders and key players in all those countries, knows all the people testifying.
Damn. Could Hillary or Barack greet Richard Holbrooke as an old friend? Sigh. Hope they get some damn good advisors.

15. I watched it last nite - well most of it - it was on C-Span. |

Richard Holbrooke really seems to have alot of respect for Biden.
And that comment from Lugar when he was comparing Afghanistan to a failed run for the presidency - wtf was that???
ok - I have to say it. Biden looks terrible! I know he had a bad cold - but he has this brown spot on his forehead and there is definitely something with one of his eyes. He looked like he aged - alot. Maybe losing was harder on him than anyone realizes? I just hope he is okay, and that he takes time to take care of himself.
He did mention that he was going to Afghanistan soon.

16. He's had something off about that eye for as long as I've been a Bidenite. |
|
I'm thinking it is exaggerated when he's tired.
I think Joe just looked like I feel when I have a bad cold.
He looked good when he gave his statement after the SOTU, I thought.

17. That was some pretty scary stuff they were talking about. |
|
Things in Afghanistan are not going so well, and it sounded like we need to have a 'surge' there.
I hope that all the people that are so anti-war realize that - both Obama and Hillary have talked about getting out of Iraq and sending our troops where they can really make a difference.
