I think Joe is doing a good job of portraying McCain as just following Bush policies. He did elaborate and put into very understandable terms the difference between McCain and the Democrat candidates. He is also really laying out the possibility of McCain wanting to go after Iran in his first year. I know I'm bias and a lifelong Dem......but if I was on the fence I think Joe did an excellent job of drawing the lines.......between the parties. He is so danged good at clearing the partisan fog.....But you guys already know that!!

I am so glad someone is out there basically getting into McCain's face. He has been getting a free ride while the other two tear each other apart. Joe is one hell of a good choice to take it to McCain!!!!!

5. Yeah -- that's what Joe said yesterday -- |
|
in essence picking up the Democratic Foreign Policy mantle to get it "out there" while the other two are busy slugging it out.
I did notice tonight that HRC spent a lot of time mentioning/going after McCain, which was a first in these debates. I think she did a better job at that than Obama did, though it kills me to admit it. :7

I didn't know Joe had said that. I've been somewhat busy here lately and haven't been keeping up. I am very glad he is taking the lead on this. McCain needs to be confronted.
I did not watch the debate. I made a decision after Joe dropped out to not pick a candidate. I will support the winner and do what I can to get them elected this fall. The Iowa vote was over and what good was it going to do for me to select one. Anyway that is the way I looked at it. This way I don't have as much animosity toward one or disappointment when one finally drops out.
I guess to get it out and be completely honest.....I don't much care for either of them.....I suppose I'm old fashioned. I would prefer that WE actually pick our candidate...not the press...

If any of us really felt that Obama or Clinton was the best, that's who we would have backed. Although there is a DUer who has switched to Hillary, and s/he said s/he has fallen in love with her, so maybe it was just us die-hards.
At this point, regardless of who gets the nom, it's fine with me. They both offer things I like, and I still have concerns about each of them, too.
But as the old Seahawks coach used to say (constantly), you gotta play the hand you're dealt. It's hard, though, to not compare a lot of what they do and say with what Joe has done and said. :(
I'm glad Joe is getting it out there, too. And Hillary kept bringing up McCain's name in the debate last night, which is good.
Even though the polls are squeaky tight right now in Dem vs McCain, I have faith that when our nom gets up and debates McCain, we'll win the WH.
