4. Mine too
I haven't watched Meet the Press in a while, but it is where I first discovered Joe and thought "he" should be running for president. Later my son heard him on MTP for the first time and said, "why isn't he running for president?"

5. Yeah!!!
I was wondering about that since he was scheduled to be on with Russert last week :(

I find Brian Williams to be a major bore - anyone else feel that way?
I'm sure Biden will liven things up tho :)

6. I don't know
Brian Williams is hilarious when he's on Jon Stewart. I loved when he was the "giant head".

7. I didn't see him on Jon Stewart. That's good to hear.
Everytime I see him he is Mr. Serious.

Looking forward to Sunday, even tho it will be hard to watch without Russert.

10. The last time he was on The Daily Show
he was very witty. I was surprised as I always saw him as Mr. Serious as well.

It should be interesting to see how the show goes without Russert.

12. That was funny =)
While watching it, I was thinking that maybe Williams would be the right
replacement for Russert.
He is very quick thinking, has that poker face and would not be afraid to ask tough questions.

Thanks for posting.

13. You're welcome
I thought he was such a good sport for agreeing to be the Giant Head. I had no idea how really funny he could be.

We'll see how he does tomorrow.

8. This is on Politico

:(

Dear Viewers,

Friday morning of last week, Tim Russert was hard at work preparing for Sunday's upcoming interview with Senators Lindsey Graham and Joe Biden. He was excited and so looking forward to having them together, on the "Meet the Press" set, debating the hot issues of the presidential race.

As you know, tragically that show never happened.

This Sunday, both Senators Graham and Biden have graciously agreed to appear here to have that Decision 2008 debate. It will be the debate that Tim was so looking forward to and it is the debate that I think he would want us to proceed with. We are fortunate that NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams will be here to moderate.

We will also have a political roundtable with Andrea Mitchell of NBC News and John Harwood of CNBC and the New York Times.

And to close the show, in memory of Tim, we will have a special look back at this week's services and tributes to our leader and friend.

With thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers,

Betsy Fischer
Executive Producer
NBC News, "Meet the Press"

9. And there's this - Russert's last (?) interview---

Msnbc: Who do you have coming up on Meet the Press?

Russert: We’re going to talk big issues with a debate: Obama vs. McCain. Joe Biden will represent Barack Obama; Lindsey Graham will represent John McCain.

Msnbc: Do you think Lindsey Graham might be on the ticket with John McCain?

Russert: I think he’s on the list. South Carolina is a solid state, but McCain really likes his passion and his ability to be on the attack against the Democrats on these foreign policy issues. I think Biden is someone who’s very much on Obama’s list because of his wealth of foreign policy experience, his knowledge of the Iran and the Iraq. It’ll be interesting. They’re both coming into the studio. It could be an vice presidential audition. A Meet the Press audition, coming your way Sunday, on Meet the Press!

14. I'm wondering, since this will be the first MTP since Russert, if
the viewing audience will be larger or smaller.

Now I am being selfish. I want alot of people to see and listen to Joe.
