Something's missing.
Been a busy week, and maybe I missed this, but

Why isn't Biden on Obama's foreign policy team?
I was really surprised that he wasn't, especially since it's become common knowledge that Obama turns to Joe for advice.

Anybody?

2. I read some articles
I notice in all of the article talking about a foreign policy team....there is no mention of any current House or Senate members. I suppose that is standard procedure maybe??

This article lays out many of them.....many familiar names. Several former congressmen. Sounds like he is moving quickly to the center...

I can't even imagine Joe not being in the thick of this....

3. Well that was interesting?!
I don't see any change there....but at the same time...I do have alot of respect for some of the names on that list.

Still can't help but wonder what Biden's role is in advising Obama.
Maybe we will get some info tomorrow on MTP.

4. I maybe should keep quiet but.......
I don't think anyone should be the slightest bit surprised if Joe has no official part in the campaign or the Obama cabinet.

5. I agree with you
Biden has been clear that he's happy where he is.

He will do whatever is asked of him (and do it 100%) but wants to stay put.

But I gotta tell ya, I hope to see more of what I saw on MTP last Sunday. That's JOE! :7

6. Really? I'm hoping for SOS --
I THINK Joe would like that too, based on something I read from one of his staff somewhere.

That would be a step up. I view VP as a step down.

8. I'm guessing he got the "big" names for
political reasons, as well as their expertise, of course. If he just staffed it with unknown advisors, it probably wouldn't carry as much weight with those to whom foreign policy experience is an issue. He DOES have one young woman (her name, unfortunately, is Rice) who's a part of the mix, and she's pretty impressive in her own right.

But nobody has the chops like Joe, I don't think -- regardless of what positions they may have held.

It's all strategy now -- I think that's the reason behind getting this team together and choosing the particular advisors.

7. Yeah --
I think he doesn't have any serving members as part of the team.

And I think that Obama DOES listen to Joe, too. If you're correct and this team is more toward the center, it could be just for the election -- how to present himself that will appeal to those people.

Although I think he IS more toward the center than Joe.
