MotherJones Blog <3 Biden!
Edited on Mon Jul-14-08 03:11 PM by pirhana
I remember they were very complimentary during the primaries too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joe Biden, Conference Call Performance Artist
The content of the call, like most of these calls, was completely predictable. John McCain is wrong on Iraq, has been wrong on Iraq, and will continue to be wrong on Iraq. Barack Obama is right on Iraq, has been right on Iraq, and will continue to be right on Iraq. Any suggestion that Barack Obama is changing his position on Iraq is wrong.
But you know what isn't wrong? Joe Biden's performances as a campaign surrogate. The man is famously gabby and pugilistic, and he proved it today. Here are his thoughts on John McCain.
read the rest here, which includes Biden quotes on "McBombBomb":
2. Wcw -- I was going to post the SAME SENTIMENT on the thread here about
the call, but now that I'm here.
First of all, Joe in his opening statement said McCain is WRONG, and here is WHY. Susan Rice sounded like she was reading from a script on "Obama's Iraq policies." Good stuff, but she didn't get to the MEAT of it like Joe did.
And the contrast between the two - You could feel Joe's PASSION (in fact you heard him thumping on his desk while he was making a point) -- Susan was pretty bland.
I actually didn't listen to the rest of it after Joe left. Joe, as always, was answering the questions and giving us info. I knew pretty much what Susan was going to say.
There aren't too many Senators who have the intelligence, WISDOM, wit and presence that Joe possesses. He's a once in a lifetime kind of guy, I think.
THAT BEING SAID -- gotta give kudos to Obama for being smart enough to listen to Joe and heed his advice. As I said in another thread, Rice was almost channeling him word for word.
3. If this wasn't so ludicrously funny, I'd be PISSED --
A commenter on the piece accused Joe of plagiarizing BOB BARR! :rofl: I felt compelled to leave a response myself. :evilgrin:
4. Ha ha ha ha
Oh, wait, you weren't kidding x(
Barr must've seen Biden's MTP appearance and decided THAT'S the stuff of a President. What Biden is saying isn't new. And Barr agreeing that McCain 'doesn't get it' isn't plagerism...it's agreeing w/a very intelligent and informed man.
Glad to see that Ron Paul chimed in as well....is he still running?
