http://tpmelectioncentral.com/2007/09/obama_confronts_petraeus_and_crocker.phpI have read about this more than once today. Biden is being accussed of cutting Obama off. As if it's Biden's fault that there was another hearing after theirs. :puke:

but I think we have to get used to it. Every time Biden comes to the surface, someone will try and knock him down.
Personally I wasn't terribly impressed with Obama. There were others who were far better.

2. That is such bullshit -- |

Obama wasn't the first or only one who was curtailed. Tempus fugit, people! If certain people hadn't used up time blasting MoveOn.org or fawning over Petraeus, they might not have been pushed up against the wall like that.

3. Actually the press came out today in Biden's favor on that |

Saying that everyone had a time limit.
It just makes me crazy that people actually thought Biden was playing politics with Obama. They were talking about putting an end to this war - for chrissakes! Somethings are more important than poll numbers.

What I wish though that Biden did at that hearing is ask Petraeus and Crocker not to give their opening statements, or (since I assume that the rules do not actually permit that) to ask them to give significantly shorter versions. Levin did that, and while Petraeus filibustered and went to his pretty charts for a THIRD time, Crocker had the decency to pass. In the morning SFRC meeting, it was almost whole WASTED hour!
