“We’re gonna surprise them,” Biden predicted today. A fourth-place finish or better would secure Biden a podium at the ABC News debate in New Hampshire on Jan. 5 in anticipation of the primary three days later. The network will limit the field based on the results of the Iowa contests.

SO, they plan to limit it to the results of Iowa. Maybe Joe will still be in.

I hope so!!!!

4. As I understand it, they are only going to allow the top 4 candidates from the
Iowa caucus to debate. When Joe comes in second :7 or third -- or even 4th, he'll be able to participate. If he finishes 5th, he can't. And if he does finish 5th (which I KNOW won't happen), he'll be withdrawing anyway, so...

Not to worry. He'll be in NH winning the debate.

Since Iowa is the beginning of the presidential race, I'm assuming the network wants to have enough time to showcase the "viable" candidates. The caucus results will, to a certain extent, determine who is viable.

Yep, Biden will win the ABC debate. Pakistan will be a major topic they discuss.

2. corona and all,
I just saw this, and damn if its true.

'ABC News and Fox News are considering shutting Joe out of upcoming debates. We need to flood—and I mean FLOOD–them with e-mails.'

In my opinion we should complain + warn, arguing that whatever the results in Iowa media must recognize unique aspects of this situation; for them to aggravate difficult situation with more handicaps than already exist would be a huge detriment to media's necessary role as educators of the public.

So whomever is 'still in,' media must enable those beyond 3rd in Iowa to participate.
