Good yarn about how the Colombian cocaine business began under Pablo Escobar.

Amazing story of how Pablo Escobar came to be the richest crook in history

Mar 16 2009 By Annie Brown

THE brother of the infamous Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar has revealed the ingenious smuggling methods he used to flood America with cocaine.

Roberto, who was to become known as his brother's "accountant", said Pablo's Medellin drug cartel was making so much cash, it spent £1200 a month on rubber bands just to hold the wads of dollar bills together.

1. That's going to be one big seller, no doubt! It will go a long way toward drawing public attention
to a country with a history which has been concealed, covered up, hidden from the rest of the world very effectively.

Time for more exposure, wouldn't you say? The book's going to go a long way toward that end, along with Virginia Vallejo's book!

They'll both be great sources of focusing people's attention on their politics. Could be very effective.

Uribe helped Escobar enormously with his transportation problems, which Escobar admitted freely, using his authority to help them get the freedom to build their very own air strips, removing so much government oversight, of course.

Sounds like the brother doesn't need to sell a book for financial reasons, but it sounds as if he wants to sell this book!

Thanks for the news on the book. The selling point regarding a big budget just buying enough rubber bands to bundle up money has to be one of the wildest anyone ever had!
