Nicaraguan OAS Amb. Also heard this from Telesur TV.
When Pinochet was implementing his coup against Allende, he received the most condemnation when his thugs beat up and broke the arm of the Cuban Amb. to Chile.
Lousy bastards.
Chavez speaking on Telesur TV LIVE. Said that the Cuban amb. to Honduras was on the phone with Cuba's For. Min. and the Honduran thugs came in, ripped the phone out of his hands and beat him up.
Chavez says, if you want to try the same thing with us, i'm ready for you.

according to a Telesur anchor in Honduras who is interviewing Chavez. Chavez said he does not recognize this person as president. Chavez said I don't recognize this guy, Michelleti, as president -- in fact, he may end up in jail. BUT, I am waiting to hear from the US, Mexico, to make a statement. A reporter from the audience said the US had made a statement through an adviser to Obama and that the US doesn't reognize Michelletti.
Regarding how the Nicaraguan, Cuban, and Venezuelan ambassadors were accosted. The Honduran Foreign Minister, Patricia Rodas, called the ambassadors of those countries who are members of ALBA. They came to her residence and then were physically attacked. This makes sense, since it would be far more difficult to get through an embassy. While not clear, it appears that the Cuban ambassador, after being beat up, was dumped in the street.
I can only assume that Rodas had more than a few guns pointed to her head when she called the ambassadors to her house. If not, then she is part of this and we will see her show up in Miami one day soon.

4. ZELAYA LIVE - comments |

Zelaya says that the For. Min. Rodas is being taken out of the country. It looks like Zelaya was taken out of the country in style of Haitian Pres. Aristide: was not told where he was going. windows in plane covered. I expect that, as in the case of Aristide, they will say Zelaya went willingly and "resigned."
In response to reporter question, Zelaya said he was taken forcibly. He said that a "certain" segment of the military conducted the coup.

5. We've seen this pattern before, for sure. It's becoming easy if the people can be held at bay. n/t |
