La Jornada-David Brooks
Does anyone read the Mexican Daily La Jornada? It's myavorite big Mexican daily. They are pretty consistantly to the left EXCEPT, once a week they have a David Brooks column (translated to Spanish). WTF? Of all things gringo for a progressive mexican paper to choose - David f'n Brooks?

Anyone know the story behind that?

2. funny you mention pets
I would put Brook's column in my bird's cage but I'm afraid it would constipate her. A friend sent me a message and said they probably have a deal with the NYT. Then why not Kristoff? - oh, yeah. nevermind.
