martes, 07 de julio de 2009

07 de julio de 2009, 16:38Tegucigalpa, Jul 7 (Prensa Latina) Dozens of Hondurans called national Radio Globo on Tuesday to denounce that their employers are trying to force them to participate in activities to support the putschists, who are cornered by increasing popular repudiation.

Those who called explained that these gatherings are being organized in several territories by means of threats and bribes, with organizers of the farce demanding "demonstrations in white shirts in defense of democracy."

Numerous citizens have made similar denunciations since June 28, in the wake of the coup against President of the Republic Manuel Zelaya.

Businesses and institutions involved in this farce include several maquilas (assembly plants), city halls and the Granitos and Terrazos construction material company, they told Radio Progreso.

A woman said she has been "offered food and 100 lempiras in cash ($5) for wearing a white shirt."

The de facto President Roberto Micheletti told Radio America that not only businesspeople and representatives of the middle class are taking part in the "white shirt demonstrations" in defense of the Honduran Constitution. "The poor people are also in favor," the usurper said.

2. So predictable, unfortunately. If it weren't for cheating, or violence, right-wingers would NEVER
get into office, and would never KEEP office if standing for re-election.
