MICHELETTI Sends Letter to UN Denouncing CHAVEZ Actions
Oh boy, let's get the US-totally dominated UN Security Council involved. Strap on the seat belts, it's gonna be a bumpy six months.

The interim Honduran government led by Roberto Micheletti denounced on Thursday Venezuela's President Hugo Chávez in a letter sent to the Security Council of the United Nations (UN), particularly Chávez's threat to send military troops to Honduras.

Honduran Foreign Minister Carlos López made the complaint in a letter to the UN President of the Security Council for July, Uganda's UN Ambassador Ruhakana Rugunda.

In the communication, López notified "the Security Council about the violations of articles 1 and 2 of the Charter of the United Nations and urged it to take the measures provided in the Charter."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the new Honduran government reported "the threats and deliberate acts of provocation committed by President Chávez," in the context of the political crisis in Honduras.

López made reference to "the public threats made by Chávez on July 1 that Venezuelan troops would be sent to Honduras, allegedly with the purpose of meddling in the internal affairs of Honduras, which amounts to a clear violation" of the principles of equal sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs, among others.

The diplomat also mentioned "the violation of the Honduran airspace by a Venezuelan airplane, on July 5. The airplane was piloted by Venezuelan military, thus countering an explicit ban made by the Civil Aviation Authority of Honduras against flying over the space of our country and trying to land at the international airport of Tegucigalpa."

Accusations
The interim President of Honduras also said in an interview with Claudia Gurisatti, who is the anchor of the TV program La Noche, broadcast by Colombian TV station RCN, that President Hugo Chávez has contacted Honduran military trying to talk them into opposing Micheletti.

Meanwhile, thousands of members of Honduran civil society organizations blocked roads leading to the capital, Tegucigalpa, to demand the return of Manuel Zelaya to office. Otherwise, they will call a national strike on July 18.

Costa Rican President Oscar Arias, who is a mediator in the Honduran conflict, proposed "national reconciliation" to solve the crisis. Micheletti rejected the proposal.

Gee let's ignore democracy and human rights in Honduras - let's complain about the meddling by another leader we don't happen to like.

These people so arrogant...

4. U.N. probably will not recognize that letter

because the U.N. does not recognize the illegitmate Goriletti government.

On related topic, read couple of days ago where the mayor of SPS is still nowhere to be found. His attorney said he had been seen being taken into a military battalion couple days after the coup. Golpistas later said he had been released, but arrest order was issued this week against him.

6. Every third or fourth Tweet yesterday was denouncing Chavez.
It was sort of comical but I guess people really believe this.

10. Is it possible there would be trolls twittering, too, flooding lines of communications
with their own propaganda, as they do everywhere else?

Looks like a natural place to expect it since there's no compulsion for anyone to show proof or give credible sources on anything.

I'd expect genuine fascist maniacs to get on and flood lines of communication with bogus information, propaganda as effectively as they could without arousing suspicion, since there's less accountability, like the "honor system."

Is this possible?

13. Thanks for the look at them. I haven't had the nerve to peek in, yet.
I absolutely envy so much your ability to read Spanish fluently. That could be very interesting reading what the peeps are saying from the area!

3. This letter is part of the plan to get the US more "formally" involved
by virtue of bringing the issue to the Security Council. Uganda is the rotating president of the Security Council and this should be of help to the US since its president, Yoweri Meseveni, is TIGHT with the US government.

5. My friend says the Spanish language channels are reporting arms from Venezuela
being found in the capitol and they're calling it "Operation Caracas".

I didn't know Venezuela made arms. :)

7. It's called "Plan Caracas"

and was published yesterday in the golpista newspaper El Herando in Tegu.

It is so ridiculous that it made me laugh out loud when I read it last night.

11. Only pro-coup "journalists" are the ones still publishing, broadcasting, from what I've heard.
Last night I read your references to the resistance radio stations.

Are they operational today, and is the tv station back?

I'll bet they're being silenced by the coup clowns forever if they can pull it off.
