1. Some very important developments in Honduras...
At the top of the page, at the OP's link, it says: "Honduran National Police Spokesman, Daniel Molina, has disappeared."

Skip to the bottom of the page, and you find out the possible reason why. It is a YouTube video with the following description: "Honduran National Police Spokesman, Daniel Molina states that it was a coup. In a clandestine conversation outside the Brazilian embassy one evening, Daniel Molina, states that what happened on June 28 was indeed a coup and more!"

Probably the site owners intended these two items to be together.

In between are news of the OAS protest of the Junta's harassment/torture of Zelaya and the other people inside the Brazilian embassy, and announced plans for protest actions by Zelaya supporters in Honduras.

------

Here is a Google translation of the article about Molina's disappearance...

------

"Missing Molina Journal: CODEH

"By Hugo Maldonado

"We call for urgent attention to the international community
and especially to international
Protection of Human Rights to take action
regarding the disappearance of Police Officer
Daniel Molina, who served as Speaker of the Police
Nacional de Honduras.

"Until about a week ago (Molina was the official spokesman for?)
the immovable (entrenched?)
military zone on the periphery of the Embassy
Brazil, where (the military has closed off diplomatic representation?)
(and the embassy is) under psychological attack, (from) sonic, and toxic (weapons)
part of the security forces of the military regime
coup, in clear violation of the Vienna Convention and
all rules that protect the representations
(at the) international diplomatic level.

"It is assumed that Officer Molina was arrested on the orders
of their own superiors just hours after the
international dissemination of the famous video where the same
Official Molina fully (affirms) the military nature of
(the) coup that removed President Zelaya, and
therefore (is a) de facto (i.e., illegitimate?) regime, although the same
Molina official had denied that (there would be?) reprisals by the
coup institutions against him.

"The CODEH remains on standby for verifying the legal status (of Molina and his) staff and their state of physical and psychological health. (CODEH is working) on a habeas corpus appeal to the authorities to demand information on the current status of the Journal (Molina and his staff), (and whether he and his staff have been) arrested, retired, or on vacation.

"'I just hope that has not been implemented in some arrancadero of the capital,' (???) said a relative of ... Officer Molina, who for security reasons preferred to hide his name. 'These last days I noticed (that he was?) pale and nervous, staring, and quite thin. The girl who works at the home of his mother told us (he) was getting calls at night, and claimed enough ??? (he had had enough?). A couple (of) times I saw runny, watery eyes ... do not really know what to think, if women's suit or something ... ' (???)

"Officer Molina probably is simply (doing) administrative work. If so, we would like the police (to) inform us of (his) whereabouts officially.
" (--not in quotes; don't know who is saying this? CODEH? His relatives?)

-------------------------------------

I had A LOT OF trouble understanding this article, and, due to its potential importance, I wonder if someone here who reads Spanish better than me could review this translation. I've underlined particularly rough patches, and put some edits, guesses at the meaning and questions in parentheses.

I'm also puzzled by what the words "the Journal" mean. They seem to use it as a synonym for Officer Molina. Is his office called "the Journal," say, because it is the police spokesman's office (i.e., dealing with journalists)? Does he publish some kind of police journal? Why does the title say "Missing Molina Journal"? Maybe it's a Google mistranslation. The Spanish says, "Oficial Molina Desaparecido." Should this be: "Officer Molina has disappeared" (similar to hondurasoye's translation)?

Claimed enough---alegaba---could be alleged

His crying may have been over a woman (love) problem.

3. Re Molina

The headline is

Oficial Molina Desaparecido: CODEH
Officer Molina Disappears (or disappeared): CODEH
(Desaparecido = disappeared, but can also be translated as "missing"

Goggle translation incorrect, there is no "journal" word.
--------------------------

CODEH is on alert to verify the legal and personal situation of Officer Molina, in addition to his physical and psycological state of health. (CODEH) is working a Habeas Corpus petition to demand of the authorities information about the acutal status of the officer, whether he is detained, retired or on vacation.
-------------------------------------------

"I only hope that he has not been executed in some ditch in the capital, said a family member of Officer Molina, who for security reasons preferred not to reveal his/her name. 'The past few days we noted him pale and nervous, with a far-away look, and very thin.' The maid who works in the house of his mother told us that at night he received calls, and he complained a lot. A couple of times I saw him (with) a runny nose, with his eyes full of tears ... really I did not know what to think, if it a fight over women or some other thing ..."
----------------------------------

Probablemente el Oficial Molina se encuentre sencillamente desempeñando trabajos administrativos. De ser así, nos gustaría que la Policía nos informe de su paradero de manera oficial.

Officer Molina probably is simply doing administrative chores. If that is the case, we (CODEH) would like for the police to officially inform us of his whereabouts.
---------------------------------
Have seen Molina on Telesur; he was a fixture outside the Brazilian Embassy.

The video that got him into hot water was an informal chat with journalists outside the embassy. There was a Venezuelan cameraman in the group, and without Molina being aware, the cameraman turned on the TV camera.

In the video, Molina flat-out admits that it was a military coup. Particularly damning is a remark he makes that for every civilian authority in the government, there is a military officer behind him.

It's ironic that the the resistance CODEF is the organization now trying to locate him and veryify that he is okay.

5. well, here is the video

go to about 4:00 minutes. Molina saying that if the appropriate authority (competente) says you can't do something then you can't do it. I assume he was talking of the Supreme Court and/or the Congress. he then goes on to say that the Constitution says that whoever attempts to change the Constitution criminal penalties can be imposed on them. He says Zelaya should have been imprisoned but since he "had people" (supporters I assume) he was expelled from the country to avoid inconviences.

we know Zelaya was removed from Honduras by the military. and Molina recognizes the authority of the responsible authorities to make the judgement to arrest Zelaya. no news here.

it would have been nice to see the banter and questions of the reporters as well for the context and the leading questions.
