Here's an update on the resistance in Honduras that I caught via Grit TV
The coup in Honduras has all but been forgotten these days, but the people's struggle there goes on. Jose Alcoff was there recently, and contributed this exclusive report recapping the turmoil and checking in with the social movements there about what will happen next.

I'm sorry, there doesn't seem to be a transcrip.

1. Another Resistance activista has been assassinated
Edited on Thu Feb-25-10 03:12 AM by rabs

Claudia Brizuela, 36, was killed when gunmen knocked on her door and shot her several times. This happened this afternoon (Wednesday) in San Pedro Sula. Her father is Pedro Brizuela, a veteran leftist leader.

Brizuela's assassination is the fourth since Lobo took over from golpista goriletti. (Wonder where the golpista is these days?)

The other Resistance activists were:

-- Vanessa Yaneth Zepeda, found dead on 3 Feb. south of Teguz.
-- Luis Gradis Espinal, disappeared by a police patrol in Teguz.
-- Julio Funes, member of the Resistance.

2. At the Telesur link it also says the person acting as the Attorney General has requested
the capture of President Zelaya.

How undeniably odd, and crooked.

They have probably set up a murder contract on him on the style of the evil Operation Condor. God knows they have total access to the Colombian soulless murdering death squad killers at their disposal now.

Sounds as if the political assassinations are continuing in exactly the way they were going during the overt coup government's reign of terror.

Very bad news.

They are still going to lose, in time.

3. Thanks for the news clip. It was good hearing them say that Zelaya was ONE leader,
but the resistance is certainly going to continue. Looks as if they're having to pay a hideous price for it, too.

Good to see Laura Flanders again. This link is really a good one.

4. This is getting too funny
Last night Chavez said he would recognize Lobo's government, if Central American governments do. And you're still talking about this "resistance" as if it were going anywhere. Zelaya is a big loser.

8. You might find kidnapping, rape and murder funny. I don't.
And as the kid said on the video, this isn't about Zelaya.
