Man to be tried for wearing anti-revolutionary T-shirt (Spanish)
tried for offenses against leaders of government. The T-shirt depicted Homer Simpson reading counterrevolutionary phrases against Hugo Chavez's revolution.

He was wearing the shirt at a baseball game in Margarita when he caught the attention of fans. the guardia nacional acosted him but let him go when the fans protested. He was then detained upon leaving the stadium.

He must appear in court in December.

1. We now know in he last few days...
The true nature of Chavez and his supporters. I wonder if this is something that Chavez supporters can say they don't support. Nobody who supports this is a democrat or a leftist in any useful sense of the terms.

2. Did he have a John Kerry bumper sticker?
Let me guess. Some people say that he was arrested on "dangerousness" charges.

Some people say that Hugo Chavez ran over my mother with his little red VW.

;)

T shirts printed with either the faces of Fidel or Raul are noticeable only by their complete absense.

Nothing wrong with that. It may be as a result of their laws , which are not for us to criticize ,or maybe simply a sign of respect. Tourists respect the situation too by not wearing imported ones.

In a different way their respect for Che Guevara remains unwaivering with his image on most things imaginable including of course their own currency.

Alberto Korda with the cropped version of the photograph for which he apparently never received a single dime.
