http://www.ntn24news.com/node/10729Bogota, Colombia (Reuters) - With the hope of greater cooperation in Central America's fight against drugs, El Salvador's President Mauricio Funes traveled to Colombia to meet with his counterpart Juan Manuel Santos on Wednesday (February 23).
The Salvadoran government indicated there was a possibility of installing a training center and of cooperating on "very specific technical issues" to combat the illegal drugs trade
U.S. President Barack Obama will visit El Salvador next month in part to boost security cooperation in the region.
Yet it was not security in Latin America that was the only concern of the day but current events in the Middle East as well.
Santos said he "deplored" the situation in Libya, where that government's attempt to crush a revolt have killed hundreds.
