Government to complete in two years 100,000 houses unfinished under past plans
President Hugo Chávez has vowed to build 150,000 houses in Venezuela in 2011, but data provided by official bodies shows that the State has failed to complete more than 100,000 housing units under past programs.

Last year, under a plan called "Closing Cycles," the Ministry of Housing and Habitat was supposed to complete the housing units included in past housing construction programs, according to the ministry's 2010 Report and Accounts. Such housing units, however, will be completed actually over a period of two years.

The report explained that "between 2011 and 2012, some 100,000 houses will be completed, with an investment of VEB 2.6 billion (USD 1.06 billion)."

2. Oops, bit of a typo above. Just caught it. I meant to say that Chavez poisoned MY tomato starts
as well as failing to build houses, failing to fix blackouts, failing to solve street crime, hating free speech, being a communist, being a dictator, being an incompetent communist dictator, raising wages when everybody else is slashing-slashing-slashing the throats of the poor, not playing well with others, getting elected for real, causing the U.S. to have to slaughter a million people in the Middle East to keep Exxon Mobil in gravy, and--no kidding--stealing EFerrari's cat.

I want my tomato starts replaced. I'm writing the State Department about it today. The least they could do is keep dictatorial communist thieves out of my yard, for all the taxes I've paid. And if they write back that my tomato starts died from my own neglect, and not from Hugo Chavez, well...well...then we will know where Barack Obama was born, won't we? Venezuela!
