Haitians to wait 4 more days for election results
– Fri Apr 15, 3:44 pm ET

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Haitians will have to wait a few more days for the final results of last month's elections.

The nation's electoral council says it needs more time to review ballots in dozens of disputed legislative races.

Council spokesman Pierre Thibault says results initially expected Saturday are now scheduled to be announced the following Wednesday.

Thibault said Friday that ballots are being reviewed in races for dozens of open seats in the Chamber of Deputies and seven in the Senate.
