Venezuelan trade unions deplore status of nationalized businesses
Steel Guru: El Universal reported that trade union representatives of CVG Refractarios Orinoco, Friosa, Norpro and Sidetur have joined efforts in a common interest: requests for better labor conditions which have lingered long following takeover of these industries.

Far from gaining benefits after the Venezuelan State took over these plants, workers complain nowadays about demeaning labor conditions.

Mr Leandro Gonzalez, a spokesman of the trade union of Refractarios Orinoco, formerly Ceramicas Carabobo, said that "We are waiting for a prompt reply. Otherwise, we will head to Caracas to request such improvements and will not come back as far as we are given assurances."

The spokesman explained that in this case, rather than a collective bargaining agreement, specific benefits are looked forward to attract workers to manufacturing plants.

3. When the union and the company have the same boss, there's a well known problem
It's called yellow unions...

That's why these are called "refractarios".
