Joe Scarborough kept saying this morning that yesterday, Obama used the term "War on Terror"
Edited on Fri Jan-08-10 11:16 AM by jenmito
and claimed, "That's no accident." He had Giuliani on and asked him if he was glad that Obama used that term yesterday, and he said he was (right before lying about no attacks happening on Bush's watch but one happening on Obama's watch. I guess he suddenly forgot about 9/11 and doesn't count the anthrax attacks, the DC snipers, the shoe bomber, etc.)

The thing is, Obama NEVER used the phrase, "War on Terror." He said we're at war with al Qaeda. Yet NOBODY called Joe on it, including Sam Tanenhaus from the NY Times, Joe Conason, Savannah Guthrie, or anyone else that he "told." They all accepted Joe's lie that Obama used "War on Terror," which should make Cheney and other critics happy. :eyes: Do they ALL just get to make up whatever they want and spread it on tv? Sure looks like it.

1. Tsunami Joe!
Was this before or after they were going to discuss the REPUBLICAN TSUNAMI OF 2010!!!!!

I turned it off after hearing three references to how they were going to discuss THE TSUNAMI.

They're beyond ridiculous on that show. Was Conason behind the TSUNAMI!!! crap?

2. Moron Joe forgot to mention he hears secret voices in his head...
...especially the intern that died in his Congressional office screaming for mercy...

7. I guess. Doesn't seem to be getting them off the air, though. Better to not watch them
and destroy their ratings.

15. They're still on the air and still lying. Better to just not give them your viewership.
Just my two cents.

26. It's the train wreck phenomenon
I bet if I had cable, I would be watching and yelling too. But since I get all of my news and commentary from the internet, I'm much choosier. I recognize his face, but I don't watch him, ever.

Because I waited for Obama to say it and he never did.

But it doesn't stop him from repeating it ad nauseum.

11. You know what's funny?...
No doubt, you've seen those ads Joe does for his own show. The ones where he says how since he was in Congress, he knows when his guests are lying?

12. Yes!
I love the irony of it all. Joe is SO honest (yet tough) because he's "been there." Yeah-he knows when they're lying because he knows when HE'S lying.

Kind of ironic that Joe's claim IS an "accident." Or a lie.

13. Joey Scar lies on a regular basis
and no one calls him on it. So does Mika. David Schuster did and now he's not allowed on the show.

Morning Joe is currently 4th place in the ratings (it's even being beaten by Robin Meade) and is pulling down the rest of the MSNBC daytime line-up. Viewers who watch Keith and Rachel in primetime before going to bed are not going to watch a FAUX & Friends wannabe when they get up in the morning.

MSNBC should either pull the show altogether or at least replace Mika for someone who will stand up to Joe and call him on his BS.

20. Yesterday he was saying the crotch bomber was from Kenya
He said it twice and no one called him on it. To be fair, the closed captions said he was saying the guy was from Kenya. I didn't actually have the sound up.

He does this kind of stuff all of the time while he pretends that he is bipartisan and a moderate. He says things that he knows are wrong but that are red meat to the Tea Baggers and then acts like he's innocent. It is his MO and no one ever calls him on it.

23. That's right! I keep forgetting to add that here. He DID keep saying the bomber kid was from Kenya
and I couldn't believe it. Maybe it was subliminal since Obama is from Kenya ;) . But he definitely said it. I had the sound on.

25. Mika is worse
She pretends to be a liberal but is really just playing Alan Colmes to Joe's Hannity act.

Too stupid to have an ideology. But, that is second hand info.

29. That's right. She pretends she's naive. She plays along when Joe says she's on vodka and ambien.
I think she and Joe are having an affair. It really seems that way.

21. So true. I'd love to have something decent to watch in the morning. If they would have a regular
Dem on every day to call them on their BS, I'd love it but, of course, that would make Joe frequently look like a fool so it wont happen.

And they know it. Unbelievably sloppy reporting. More like "purposely misleading" reporting.

24. I know. It makes me so mad to see it repeated over and over and over...
which means it becomes true after a while. It gets into people's heads as fact. Obama has been saying the same thing as he said before.
