I can't imagine the "Ass Kicking" we would be getting if the GOP had 59-41 in the Senate!!! |
|
And the House and the White House.
It would be brutal and extremely effiecent.
I hate them but they fucking know how to get their agenda passed for their supporters.
And we had 60 and didn't get shit done.

1. Not to mention the daily, nay hourly, reminders that our opinion doesn't mean squat |
|
The condescension was always a key element. It reinforced the image of us as a weak party.

2. And you've been kicked below zero recommendations -- you must have said something truthful! |

(I did what I could to remedy your <0 status.)

7. I believe that the Dems have |
|
transformed themselves into Big Biz c*cksuckers. They can't afford to listen to the BASE. They have to pay back Wall Street for putting them in office.
They're not wimps....they're doing what they were paid to do.
The Base has been betrayed and stabbed in the back. The only life I see in the Dem Party is the Progressive Caucus in the House. Maybe after the MA election, they can kick some Senate Dem ass.

Ouch. But I still think the Democratic leadership is too arrogant and too beholden to the corporations to do anything differently. The Democrats won't learn a thing. They would rather lose power. jmo

10. Well, Bush had the conservadems come along for the ride and he could be |
|
truly ruthless. We have less then 50 real Dems in the Senate.

11. You're counting Lieberman |
|
in the 60.
And the reason it died was the election in Mass.
If the Repukes were so gutsy, they'd have done the nuclear option, then we could get whatever 51 wanted.
I wonder if the progressives really have the guts to deal with a Senate where the Repukes with an R POTUS could get whatever they wanted by majority vote.
