And what was with that sheep chewing? This certainly does not make Fiorina look like a good choice for office. I wonder what she'll come up with for Boxer?

21. Her career at HP was fiscally STUPID, not conservative (though some might equivalence those)

I remember first hand when my company used to have deals with HP to use our music software on their older portable devices and computers, and how in a matter of days of "outsourcing" what traditionally has been very well respected HP manufacturing expertise to Apple by licensing its Ipod to work on Windows (well before the Windows port of Itunes was available), and making a nightmare for customers who saw the future completely screw them with their HP investments in portables and music players.

Apple may have had a decent Ipod device along with Itunes, and I do like them from APPLE, but HP licensing it was a pretty stupid move, and you can tell that the "IPAQ" didn't last too long did it. That' what you get when you promoted someone like her who was a paper pusher at HP in to what traditionally was a CEO position by someone there who was strongly familiar with HP's manufacturing expertise, and not making stupid moves like this.

Read more here:

http://windowsitpro.com/article/articleid/41446/opinion-hps-ipod-moves-could-hurt-the-industry.html

In addition to pissing off a lot of her customers and her own employees that had to deal with this mess, it also pissed off and alienated many of HP's partner companies who were working with them prior to this deal.

This should give one a vision of what kind of future she has planned for California or America (if she somehow goes to a federal position from there), where she values style rather than substance, and making stupid deals to in effect outsource our core strengths because she doesn't understand what she's giving away and is too motivated by the greed of "quick rewards" from "deals".

23. Carly Fiorina Releases Rare Psychedelic Attack Ad - Time
http://swampland.blogs.time.com/2010/02/03/carly-fiorina-releases-rare-psychadelic-attack-ad/

The best way to view California Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina's awesomely bizarre new primary campaign ad--which includes shots of an alien robot sheep, or something--is by pressing play on your cassette tape of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon just as you click play on YouTube.

The coolest part of the whole thing is that Fiorina is positing fiscal conservatives as sheep, which is a bit like Barack Obama running a spot that posits liberals as leeches or lizards. Also, is it weird that the ad never shows Fiorina's face? Is it better that voters know their candidates by the backs of their heads? More please, more.

ALSO: I must state the obvious: The odd genius of the ad is that it is so weird that you will click on it online, and bloggers like me will link to it. The message is delivered.

"* And in California, Senate hopeful Carly Fiorina (R) released a new web video late yesterday, going after her primary opponent, former Rep. Tom Campbell, as a FCINO (fiscal conservative in name only). It features some kind of demonic sheep/man, and is among the strangest ads for a major office I've ever seen."

40. I kinda wish I were a Republican
just so I could vote for Campbell in the primary: this ad claims he's sensible about the need to increase taxes if you're going to keep up spending and programs (in CA, the Democrats run open primaries, but the Repubs limit them to registered party members. At least that's how they did it last time.)

Actually, this ad is a good example of the qualities that made HP the company it was when Carly ran it - after she finished running Lucent into the ground.
