You know the yes Men. They are progressive performance artists who show up in the media or at corporate gatherings looking and talking like executives or consultants.

They take corporate logic and behavior just a step over the edge into sheer idiocy with completely straight faces.

What they propose is usually ridiculous, but it is just close enough to reality that they get taken seriously, until the fess up and admit it's a put on. Thus they expose how ridiculous actual corporate values and behavior really are.

(They once crashed a conference, for example, as salesmen for a new survival suit that would allow the elite to survive global warming or other man made catastrophies, so insure the survival of corporations beyond the end of the world.. They were taken seriously.)

Well, maybe Sarah Palin is a secret Yes Man going into gthe realm of Politics as a giant put on. A caricture of a right-wing idiot politician. Behaving like the real ones, but taking just far enough the edge to be ridiculous....And someday, she'll say "Hey, I'm not serious ya know."

I can't think of any other explanation. :shrug:

Sadly, I remember having a strong altercation with someone who said it was scary that *W* is running and I said there is no way in hell......
That's before we had 5 Supremes we need to impeach for the crime of putting him in office and subsequent crimes.

Sarah has begun to scare me, because the level of emotional and intellectual maturity in this country scares me into believing it could happen.
